The Bulletin of the Catholic Record Society
Barquilla de la Santa Maria
Founder & first editor Monsignor Herman E. Mattingly.
Current editor Donald M. Schlegel.

The Society has published its monthly Bulletin since January of 1975, with few exceptions. This amounts to nearly 3000 pages of invaluable records and excellently written accounts and illuminations of the people and events of the historic Diocese of Columbus: a large portion of Ohio. Most of this information is not available to the general public elsewhere.

Every three years, the Society has published a bound volume of the previous three years' issues, with a table of contents and every-name index. Complete sets of these volumes are held by the Society Library, Columbus Metropolitan Library, State Library of Ohio, and Allen County [Ft. Wayne, IN] Public Library.

We are proud to here present the first 3 years' issues (nearly 800 pages), along with a Subject Index and Names Index for issues through 2005.

Here's a summary of the layout, and a tip or two to help you search it:

1. The Subject Index lists articles for all issues, 1975-2002, by subject. Scroll to browse it's contents or use your browser's search tool (Edit > Find, in Internet Explorer) to look for Places, Churches, Events etc... Anything located in Volumes I-XIII (1975-1983) can be accessed for free at the Barquilla Issues Listing, described in #2, below. If you find articles of interest in issues after 1983, you can order them for $1 each. And we've got some bound volumes (3 years of issues) still available too.

2. The Names Index and Issues Listing is together for easier searching. See the search tips there.
