Membership

We recently learned of the death of Miss Mary Agnes McCabe, one of our long-time members, in Texas, at a very advanced age.  She was a descendant of the Gallagher family of Temperanceville.  We will have a Mass offered for her.  May she and all of the deceased members of the Society rest in peace.

 

Society dues remain $15 per calendar year for one person (or two persons at the same address), $25 per institutional subscription.  As of March 10, ninety-four are on the roster for 2006. Those enrolled since the last newsletter are:

Rogers, Patrick, Rev., Father Theobald Mathew, Apostle of Temperance; Longmans, Green and Co., N.Y. & Toronto, 1945.  Father Mathew was the inspiration of and namesake for the Father Mathew Total Abstinence Society of Holy Family Parish, c. 1890.  He visited Cincinnati on his U.S. tour, in 1851.
